Pobanz Family Christmas Greeting 2010

Here are some of our favorite pictures from throughout the year!

January - We rang in the new year, played in the snow, Adam turned 12 on the 12th, and he graduated from primary and went into the Young Men's program.

February - Brrr! February was cold, but not too cold to enjoy a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Gardiner. While they were here, we saw lots of Switzerland, Adam was ordained to the priesthood, and we made a road trip to Paris, Normandy, and Mt. St. Michael. We ended the month with a trip to the ER. What would a year be without a trip to the ER? Ally's concussion gave us quite a scare, but we were so grateful for her return to good health! It didn't take long until she was back to her spunky little self.

March - Ally lost her 1st tooth! We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary!

April - We said goodbye to our friends and moved from Switzerland to Germany. We have so many wonderful memories in Balsthal, specifically on Wytweidweg - the street we called home for more than 5 years. The kids started their new school and we enjoyed a warm day at the park.

May - Moving boxes be gone! We headed north to MoviePark Germany where we had a fantastic time together.

June - Ally was loving every minute of her new kindergarten and Adam started playing the trombone. Allyson also celebrated her 6th birthday. She was thrilled with the new trampoline and her new status of being 6!

July - Jolyn became the official family chauffeur when Bret's driver's license was suspended for 2 months. She drove us to the Passion Play in Oberammergau where we watched the world-famous performance that only happens once every ten years. Adam looked around, noted the age of some of the people there, and said that some the people there had probably already seen the play 10 times!!! Funny!

August - We flew to the USA. We enjoyed time with our families. We squeezed in a trip to Yellowstone, a baseball game, a tea party for Ally, a trip to Lagoon, and lots of good ol' family fun. We came back home to Germany, sat around the fire, and couldn't stop talking about all the wonderful experiences we had in Utah.

September - To wrap up summer, we went to Legoland Germany for one last hurrah before the kids started the new school year.

October - We celebrated Bret's birthday with a visit to the BMW Museum and Oktoberfest in Munich. We loved the Train concert in Erlangen and jammed out to some Soul Sister! For Halloween, we went to Phantasialand and Beethoven's House in Bonn. At Beethoven's house, we not only bought the book about his life, we actually read it this time. A few days later, while sitting in traffic, both Adam and Ally requested the Beethoven CD! Cool!

November - Adam had all 4 wisdom teeth removed on the same day. We agreed not to post pictures, but it was quite an event. One that he'll never have to repeat, thank goodness! While Adam was wishing his stitches were out, Ally was putting us in them as she was the comedian at the school circus. Her jokes were hilarious!

December - The Christkindlmarkt in Nürnberg was second to none. The kids loved the snow (most importantly, the two days off of school due to heavy snowfall!), and we all packed our bags to make a trip to the Big Apple to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve! Ally also wrote a darling letter to Santa!!

We hope that you are well and are enjoying the holidays with family and friends.
